(Telehealth)
My goal as a therapist is to create a relational space where you can process, grow, and heal in a collaborative environment of change. Many clients thrive when we explore values-based decision making for lasting change, so I primarily use cognitive-behavioral techniques in an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework. I specialize in helping adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma, but also have provided therapy related to moral injury, stress, chronic pain, relationship issues, addiction, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
I also work with couples to identify unhelpful patterns of communication and behavior in their relationship and provide easy-to-use tools to work toward a satisfying and meaningful partnership.
I have a special clinical interest in trauma and resiliency. I received specialized training in working with Veterans and their families at the VA and through my Masters degree program at Michigan State University as a graduate of the Combat Veterans Certificate program. I have also participated in specialized training in ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR).
