Hello! My name is Luca and I'm very gentle, even with kids, love treats and I love to snuggle, give kisses and let you pet me during difficult moments.
(Telehealth only)
I graduated in 2012 with a master's degree in clinical social work from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan.
I completed my graduate internship at a community mental health agency, where I worked with the women's intensive outpatient substance abuse program and provided individual mental health therapy to adults.
Upon graduation, I accepted a full-time position with the agency as an adult and Adolescent therapist and intake therapist. I enjoyed providing individual and group therapy and sat on several committees including the trauma-informed care committee. I also helped local drug court clients to access Community Resources.
My areas of special interest include: generalized anxiety, health anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse, chronic pain/ illness, strengthening coping skills and stress. I frequently utilize CBT and mindfulness to assist my clients. I'd love to work with you if any of these things are keeping you from living your best life.
(Telehealth only)
I graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Michigan State University. and have worked with both community members and first responders in crisis for over 15 years through critical incident stress management (CISM).
My heart is to empower clients struggling with mental health or life challenges to be resilient. Anxiety, depression, and trauma are just a few things that can derail a person’s life. I believe empowering clients to be resilient in the course of healing is foundational.
Working toward client-established goals, coaching in communication, building coping skills, and helping individuals set healthy boundaries are a few tools in achieving this. When we as individuals are psychologically healthy, we have a positive impact on those we love and care about.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you become healthy again.
