(Telehealth)
Young people today are facing more pressure than ever—whether it’s from social media, academic stress, or trying to navigate complicated emotions and relationships. I understand how overwhelming that can feel, and I believe every child, teen, and young adult deserves a safe, supportive space to be heard and understood. I’m passionate about helping young people build confidence and resilience, and I tailor each session to honor your unique voice and experience. Together, we’ll work to turn the challenges you’re facing into strengths you can carry forward.
My approach is interactive, relaxed, and always focused on what’s most helpful to you. For younger kids, that might mean incorporating games or creative activities that support our goals. When working with children under 12 in virtual therapy, I also partner with parents or caregivers—offering guidance and including them in part of the session as needed—to help reinforce skills at home. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from many different cultural backgrounds, including immigrants and refugees, and I enjoy supporting Spanish-speaking clients as they navigate mental health needs and the cultural stigma that can sometimes come with them.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on what’s most useful for you, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, play and art-based methods, strengths-based strategies, and parenting support. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree from Grand Valley State University, and I’ve completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), DBT Skills, and The Kazdin Method of Parent Management Training (PMT). My goal is to meet you where you are, help you feel supported, and work with you toward healing and growth in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
